When Where how Much

The St Matthews Scout Troop meet at 55b Chelmsford Drive, Upminster, Essex RM14 2PH.

We meet at 19-30 to 21-30 during School term times. We understand that 21-30 can be quite late for younger scouts and Parent are welcome to collect their child at 21-00 if they wish please discuss this with your Scout leader (details below).

How Much does it Cost?

To be a Scout there are ongoing memberships fees or subscriptions which we call “Subs”. These are £35 and paid at the start of every full term per term in January, April and September.
These ideally are paid online by Bank Transfer and we ask all parents who are British tax payers to sign a gift aid declaration ** link to gift aid form ** to enable us to reclaim tax on donations and keep the subscriptions as low as possible.

The subscriptions are consistent across the 8th Hornchurch Scout group and are used to cover the costs of Insurance, Group overheads and Sections Overhead. These do not cover the Costs of Camps and Special Troop night events which are provided at an additional cost which we keep as low as possible to ensure maximum attendance.
