Code of Conduct (Camps)

In addition to the Scout promise and Law which we ask the Scouts to follow we also have a code of conduct for Troop nights and camps. This is minimum standards we expect from all of our members and leaders.

 Have a good time
 Respect everyone, property, equipment and time
 Listen to leaders especially when they are training you
 Listen to each other and avoid shouting
 No shouting, screaming bullying, swearing, play fighting or physical contact
 Be quiet and during ceremonies, instructions and videos
 Set a good example to those around us
 Take nothing but memories, leave nothing but footprints!
 You will go to sleep and lights out at 23-00pm unless told other wise
 You will not make noise or get up until 07-00pm unless told other wise
 Get involved and give our best effort to all activities
 Complete all tasks assigned, or you will be assigned a Leader Chore
 Say please and thank you all camp
 Be sensible with drinks and clear up any mess you make at drink or meal times
 Keep the Scout Promise and the Scout Law
 Remember scouting is about team work and that everyone has strengths and weaknesses.

Persistent Violation of the code of conduct

On occasions a Scout or Scouts may consistently break the code of conduct at camp in cases where the leaders are unable to correct the behaviour of the Scout or Scouts we would ask the parents/guardians for support in dealing with the issues and typically this would be to collect them from camp (of course this would be a last resort).
